His death was the result of “the overthrow of a cart,” according to early records of Medfield, MA.1808
He first settled in Watertown, MA in 1636 and was a prprietor in 1638. He took the freeman’s oath 13 May 1640. With his brother William, he became a proprietor of the settlement at Dedham, when the company of Waterwon church members established themslelves there.
In 1650 he became one of the elect proprietors of the new town of Medfield, MA.1808
