He lived in Tollland, CT and later in Pennsylvania and Enterprise, OH. He was for many years a farmer and shcool teacher. He died of consumption at the home of his son. Luther Reed and is buried in Boston, MA.1715

Three of his children died of consumption, as welll. Samuel Henry and Ephriam Crawford and Lucy Maria all died in Enterprise OH for consumption.1715
