James' ancestors had lived along Draper's Lane in the village of Heptonstall, Yorkshire, in windswept northern England since at least 1415... But as other Puritan families had for a generation, they [made the journey]. Draper’s great-grandsons fought in the American Revolution. Moses fought in the Battle of Lexington; Samuel was a captain the Contintental Army and Jonathan was an officer who served with the Minutemen at Lexington.
