These are the first Kendalls known to be recorded in any formal register or book in the town of Kent where the family appears to have originated. Wayne Kendall has documented these fact from a trip to England circa 1898. In later years the town’s name changed to Kendal (derived from the fact that Kent was on the River Dale)2105
