He graduated from Yale in 1718. He studied physic and surgery as well as theology. He was ordained and became the first minister of Litchfield 19 June 1723.1917

She was a midwife. Her death date is not certain, but she was living in Jan 1780 (the cold winter),when she was sent for, and drawn upon a handsled four and a half miles to the town of Goshen to attend a lady about to give birth.1917
