Lots of twenty-five acres were granted in Malden town grant and laid out in what is now Worcester, Mass., then called "Quansigamug", to twenty-nine persons. Of these, fifteen were Malden men, among whom Pelattah and Daniel Whittemore were included, as shown by their names on a petition bearing date of 27 May 1674. King Philip,s War caused abandonment of the proposed settlement shortly thereafter (History of Malden, p. 304; Massachusetts Archives, vol. 112, p. 237).1890
