Notes for Thomas Kingbury
His children were killed in the Indian attack on Haverhill in 1697, and at a later period he appears to have been taken captive and carried away by the Indians, and kept by them for a long time. According to Pike's Journal, Sergeant Kingsbury was killed or taken by the Indians July 3, 1706. Probably this Thomas. After his return he appears in Plainfield, Connecticut, where a tract of land was given him by the proprietors.
