Benjamin Haskell of Gloucester was born in Beverly in 1646 and died in Gloucester in his ninety-second year. Like his brother he was often a selectman and a deacon of the First Church; also he was a representative to the General Court in 1707. By trade he was a housewright. He married first Mary Riggs by whom he had nine children. After her death in 1697 he married Emma Bond.1571
