Notes for James Prescott
He arrived at Hampton, NH and lived at the Falls about 1665. 1183 His first home at Applecrest Farm was called Fort Prescott - built to protect neighbors from Indian attacks.1207

The town of Kingston was granted to James Prescott, Ebenezer Webster and others in 1694. 1208 He was head of the first board of selectmen of Kingston in 1695.1183

James Prescott and others signed a petition for a new Parish at the "Falls". It became a separate town 20 Apr 1712, 1209, 1210

He was admitted to the Hampton Falls church membership on 20 April 1712. 1183In 1678 he was admitted a freeman. He must have been a member of the Hampton church before that date, since it was a requirement for freeman status, 1211, 1212

He had been commuting and helping to found Kingston since 1694 and finally moved there in 1725.781, 1208 His membership was transferred to the Kingston, NH church on 29 September 1725.1183
