Was on the Privateer Dalton captured by the Brits early February 1777 and inprisoned on a ship and then tried for treason and sent to Old Mill Prison in Plymouth, England (June 1677). Conditions were bad and there were several escape attempts. Some of those who escaped were impressed into the Royal Navy.827,828
